Watsemba Miriam is an award-winning documentary photojournalist based in Uganda, with a strong background in Journalism and Communication. As a Canon Certified Trainer, Miriam is passionate about storytelling, believing that stories have the power to drive change and development. Her work focuses on helping people express themselves authentically, capturing raw and impactful moments that reflect their truth.

A multiple-time grantee, Miriam has published and exhibited her work both locally and internationally. Her photography aims to archive important truths and provoke meaningful action, using the power of visual storytelling to highlight pressing social issues.
